What We Do
Laurel Hill Forest Lodge is the ideal venue for school camps, family reunions, weddings, birthday parties, team building workshops, conferences, club getaways, religious retreats and cycling groups. Access to nearby Bago State Forest, Hume and Hovell Walking Track and Tumbarumba to Rosewood Rail Trail – come and enjoy a quiet weekend with friends away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Laurel Hill Forest Lodge offers eight accommodation units, each with their own living area, toilets and bathrooms, and sleeping quarters for between 10 and 20 people in either twin or single rooms.
In addition, there is a dining complex where healthy menu options are available, using as much local produce as possible. A variety of special dietary needs can be catered for.
Other facilities include a large recreation room ideal for group lectures, indoor games and activities.
The spacious grounds surrounding Laurel Hill Forest Lodge also offer a number of recreational activities including several hectares of open fields suitable for ball games, a cement cricket pitch and a volleyball net.
There are a number of bush walking tracks starting at the Lodge, which allow you to explore the magnificent forests that make up the Laurel Hill region.
Of growing interest is the proximity of Laurel Hill Forest Lodge to the many cycling opportunities in the area – the Tumbarumba to Rosewood Rail Trail, Mountain Bike trails, pump track and soon to be built children’s educational cycling track.
The Hume and Hovell Walking Track is also a great drawcard with many sections being accessible from Laurel Hill.
