The Laurel Hill Forest Lodge offers eight accommodation units, each with their own living area, toilets and bathrooms, and sleeping quarters for between 10 and 20 people in either twin or single rooms.

In addition there is a dining complex for large groups which includes a commercial kitchen and dining area capable of seating between 80 and 100 people.

Other facilities include a large recreation room ideal for group lectures, indoor games and other activities.

The spacious grounds surrounding Laurel Hill Forest Lodge also offer a number of recreational activities including several hectares of open fields suitable for ball games, a cement crick pitch, tennis court, and barbecue areas.

There are a number of bush walking tracks starting at the Lodge, which allow you to explore the magnificent forests that make up the Laurel Hill region.

Making the most of your stay . . . .

Laurel Hill Forest Lodge is close to Australia's snowfields, the Snowy Mountains irrigation scheme, lakes and national parks, and the fruit growing region of Batlow and Tumbarumba.

Only one hours drive from Mount Selwyn for downhill skiing and Cabramurra for cross-country skiing, the Lodges are an ideal base for groups to base their skiing holiday during the winter months.

Then in summer, the picturesque Lake Blowering is only 20 minutes north of Laurel Hill where groups can enjoy all forms of water based recreational activities.

A series of bush walking tracks are situated in close vicinity to Laurel Hill Forest Lodge and nearby including the Hume and Hovell Walking Track which will enable groups to experience some of the regions magnificent forests and abundant native wildlife.

Scenic drives are numerous and groups can experience the orchards and pine forests to the north, the Upper Murray River in the south and the Snowy Mountains in the east.

The historic Yarrangobilly Caves are also located nearby offering guided and self guided cave tours, walking tracks and a thermal pool which is naturally heated to a constant 27 degrees Celsius

Fishing is another specialty and the lakes, rivers and waterways in the Laurel Hill region offer even the most amateur of fishermen the opportunity to catch a fish.

The Snowy Mountain's Irrigation Scheme is an integral part of Australia's high country and supplies much of Australia's hydro-electricity. Tumut 3 Power Station, the largest power station in the Snowy Mountains Scheme offers guided tours that show a working scale model of a generation pump unit and models of the entire Snowy Mountain Scheme. There is also a sensational viewing platform.
